Just an interesting conscept I worked on . I thought of all the naga and yantee representations and realized I've never exactly seen a viper representation. So I went with a naga based on the theme of the south american rattle snake, or Casabella. I like how the conscept came out but am not thrilled with the half assness of the back round, oh well, it was worth sharing with you fine folks atleast. Done in ink and watercolor.
wow in watercolor! impressive! luv it's head..and how the colors are very vibrent!sp?

oi, to your question about the types of watercolor I actually use your standard wash and build up with a little help from pro arts watercolor pencils for some of the detail work, they're really great especially if you use the wet tip technique to concentrate all of the pigment.
Nice work like the compo of the scene.
The only thing that disturbig me is the size of the head in comparison of the neck, perhaps beacause of the black entrance on his right.
nevermind good job man.
thanks, actually this may be why you never see viper based naga and mythos in my opinion. Vipers ; rattlers and bushmaster for instance have huge heads in comparisson to the rest of their body, just the fact that their packed with over sized fangs and venom sacks. Thanks for your comments trantsiss
thanks for the flatterment layra, personally I think I need more work with backrounds, my problem is I work on the forground first. Call it a biassed love for the subject at hand.
I love the amount of detail in this, you can see every scale!
And don't worry about the background, at least you have a background which is a lot better then I usually do.
When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
A Special Collection of photographs i found this month that still haunts my mind. Show them some love There are always some i can`t include due to space, i try to make the features under 50 deviations to give them better exposure
